Ivan the Terrible: Continuance of the legend of King Ivan IV, in which he takes on the boyars in a battle for power. Impressive film is just a shade underneath its predecessor, Banned by Stalin due to debatable illustration of Ivan's secret patrol, and not discharged till 1958. Cast includes Nikolai Cherkassov; Serafima Birman, Mikhail Nazvanov, Pavel Kadochnikov, and Andrei Abrikosov. (88 minutes, 1946)

Hollow Man: Sebastian Caine is working on a top-secret assignment for the U.S. government. He is trying to unlock the keys to human invisibility. After succeeding on laboratory animals, he can't resist, and takes the serum himself. He becomes irreversibly invisible, and feels threatened by those trying to cure him.

Dream Warriors: When agitated kids in a psychiatric clinic find they are being visited in their dreams by the giggling, murderous figure of Freddy Krueger, Nancy Langenkamp, the survivor of the first film and now a psychiatrist, helps another physician and the terrified adolescents battle Freddy. Well written and imaginatively prompted, this is the best of the Elm Road films. Cast includes Heather Langenkamp, Patricia Arquette, Larry Fishburne, Priscilla Arrow, Brooke Bundy, Dick Cavett, and Zsa Zsa Gabor. (78 minutes, 1987)

Rhapsody in Blue: Hollywood biography of George Gershwin is largely fiction, although comes off better than most other composer biographies, seizing Gershwin's excitement for his work, and some of his central conflicts. Cast includes Robert Aida, Joan Leslie, Alexis Smith, Oscar Levant, Charles Coburn, Hazel Scott, and Al Jolson. (139 minutes, 1945)

Follow Me Boys: A very corny Disney film in regards to easy going man who settles in tiny town during the 1930s and starts Boy Scout troop, committing his life to this empowering pursuit. A little less jelly could have helped, although a little of it is finished with awesome conviction. Cast includes Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish, Charlie Ruggles, Elliott Reid, and Kurt Russell. (131 minutes, 1966)

The Meteor Man: Townsend plays a hesitant, nerdy school teacher with a fear of heights whose hit by an abnormal emerald meteor that turns him into a superhero. Townsend additionally inscribed this "Superman N the Hood" story, full of good values, but very few funny moments. As a comedy it just doesn't soar. Cast includes Robert Townsend, Marla Gibbs, Eddie Griffin, Robert Guillaume, James Earl Jones, Roy Fegan, and Bill Cosby. (100 minutes, 1993)

The Air I Breathe: Four overlapping, connect the dots storylines, based on a Chinese proverb and titled "Cheerfulness," "Delight," "Grief," and "Love," make up this mess of a film. Starts out promisingly, as a disgruntled office android Whitaker unintentionally figures out that a horse race has been fixed, then it inexplicably shits into a cartoon like train wreck. Cast includes Kevin Bacon, Julie Delpy, Brendan Fraser, Andy Garcia, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Clark Gregg, Emile Hirsch, Woodland Whitaker, Kelly Hu, Evan Parke, Taylor Nichols, Winner Rivers, and Jon Bernthal. (97 minutes, 2008)
